The Beginning

Did you know that, 81 percent of women and 71 percent of men have been married by age 30 (and 16 percent of each have been divorced), did you also know that the statistics say that one out of 33 men and one out of 25 women are virgins at age 30? I went rogue in both of these statements. I am the 19 percent that isn't married and the 1 out of 25 that currently still have held out for Mr. Right. I made a covenant to God when I was merely 13 years old and while it has been a long tough and sometimes tempting road, I intend on keeping my promise until my wedding night. This blog is intended not only to track my love life(or lack thereof), but also to chronicle my life as a child of God. I serve a mighty all-powerful God and I hope he uses my story and my blog to do his work.

I intend to update weekly and keep track of His work in my life.

I want to end with a verse that God gave to my this past week.

Do you not know?
    Have you not heard?

The Lord is the everlasting God,

    the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
    and his understanding no one can fathom.
29
He gives strength to the weary
    and increases the power of the weak.
30
Even youths grow tired and weary,
    and young men stumble and fall;
31
but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 40:28-31
A gratuitous picture of me and my passion.
Taken last Thanksgiving 2011.
Note--I was still 28
(looking to add some 30 year pics soon!)

More current picture of me. NYE 2013.
(Almost 30, but still officially 29!)
